The Cries of Mankind

A statement by The Grandfather at the beginning of a Teaching: "The Lesson is Timely, Little Brother, because the Cries of Mandkind now is everywhere".

All that day, this statement of The Grandfather, was heavy on my mind. As The Grandfather often did, make statements he wanted me to think about and try to come to my own conclusions, yet he was always there to help me in my puzzlements.

That evening The Grandfather and I were sitting under the Apple Tree in my Grandmothers yard. The Sun was nearing the Western Mountains, The Grandfather spoke.

"Little Brother, I can see there is something heavy in your thoughts".

"Grandfather", I asked. "What is the meaning of, The cries of Mankind now is everywhere?"

Before I relate to you The Grandfather's Story, I must tell you, I have had to add onto this Story to bring it up to the Twenty First Century. The STORY did not change, only TIME has changed.

This Story from my People, "The Riddle of Man", had its beginnings in the mid-thirteen hundreds, upon the arrival of the Europeans. It was many Seasons (years) before these European People arrived in our Lands. We had heard the Stories about these People long before ever seeing them. My People traded with the Mohegan Peoples on the Eastern side of what is today called, the Hudson River. Through different Nations trading with each other (meterial things and Stories) occurrences that were happening with the Peoples in distant Lands were passed on.

The Stories of how these New Peoples took and took from the Native Peoples, they never asked. They just TOOK! They berated, nor acknowledged our Spiritiually, saying their Christian God was the only true God. Yet it was easy for the People to "see", in a colloquial manner of speaking, their words did not reflect their actions.

Generation after Generation, the Cries of Mankind was screaming in our ears.

At the time The Grandfather was telling me this Teaching Story, the Year 1943; the whole World was in turmoil. Hitler and Japan, the Second World War. The turmoil, destruction and the slaughter of many different Peoples and Nations was World wide.

With each Generation the Cries of Mankind were never heard. The so called Indian Wars, the Revolutionary War, the French/Indian War, the removal of all Native Peoples East of the Appalachian Mountains. Thus theTrail of Tears, this experienced by the Cherokee Peoples. The Europeans pushing into the West, displacing Peoples from theirLands. Having no thought, regard or consideration for the Peoples who had lived on that Land for Generations. JUST TAKE! The Civil War, this War between the States, Brother killing Brother.

It would take volumes to relate here all of the Cries of the Native Peoples of these Lands called the Americas and other Pepoles World wide. The Cries of Mankind!

How sad this Human Race. Historically measuring our Time by Wars. With statements like, post or pre World War Two and all of the other Wars.

The Generation of the Spanish/American War, the Generation of the First World War. (the War that was SUPPOSED to end all Wars) The Generation of the Second World War, (my generation) the Generation of the Korean Conflict, (also my Generation, never declaired a War yet people died, a Policing Action) the Generation of the Viet Nam War (also my Generation) and the many smaller conflicts and Wars happening all over this Earth.

With each Generation bringing greater destructive Weapons into the fray, to the point, NOW our Weapons could destroy all of Mankind as well as all Life on this Earth.

Now we have a Generation involved in two Wars with the possibility of Iran and North Korea starting more conflict. Truly. throughout time, Generation after Generation the Cries of all Peoples , the Cries of Mankind, have been great, yet falling on deft ears.

One Man Crying out in the Night, the Universal Energy Hears, as for Man, their Arrogance, their Greed, their need for Power, their Brutality, their Self Importance and their Uncaring Ways will always cause Mayham, War, until they truly Hear the Cries of Mankind and respond to it. Religious Wars are truly an oxymoron. Religion is not a Physical thing, it is a Mental thing. How can one "sin" against a thought? Yet Men uses their Religious Concepts to cause World wide pain and destruction.

We as Human Beings need to look to the World of Nature and heed its example and Teachings. After all, we are but another entity upon this Planet we call Earth. No other entity on Earth causes the destruction of Their Habitat, this Earth, as we Human Beings do. Will Man never Learn, This Earth does not need Man, Man needs this Earth! In the future when Man is on the Brink of Extinction, by their own hand, they may look back and see their errors and finally Hear the Cries of the Generations, the Cries of Mankind.

TOO LATE!

Man, just another species Eliminated from this Universe, by our own doing. We as the Human Race, nothing more than a flashing moment in Universal Time. Universal Time being measured in the billions of Years, the Time of Man, individually, measured in decasdes. Are we already too late to change our Ways? Can Man never Hear the Cries of Mankind?

Faith Healing

I seem, lately, to be commenting on the ‘news of today’ rather than Culture Concepts. Yet much of what is happening in this twenty first century shows how my Ancestors had a more informative and reasoning ‘mind set’ when it comes to Life Circumstance, as was my Teachings as a Child.

Shocked is really not a strong enough word, as I read what has happened in the state of Oregon. Parents allowing there teenage son to pass in the World of Spirit, Death, if you do not truly understand the passing of an individual from the Physical Word into the Spiritual Word. The parents, the ones given this Gift of a Child, have allowed this to happen due to their faith and irresponsibility.

Do not get me wrong, I also have faith, a strong faith in a much greater entity than ‘Man’. In my Culture this greater entity is called Creator. What ever the word you may use in your Culture, you’re Teachings. God, Allah or the many other names different Teachings use. After all, are we not speaking of the same omnipresent entity?

I do not write today about religion, I sent this message because of injustice and abhorrent actions of parents and the consequence.

Once again I say Humans of this twenty first century do not learn from Life Lessons. Not to long ago their fifteen month old Granddaughter had passed to the World of Spirit due to their Faith and non-action. Why could they not see or understand there are people that have been trained to help, Doctors.

Now for the second time in their lives, due to non-action, they have allowed their sixteen year old son to also join the Spirits due to their ignorance.

Why, in this twenty first Century, Humans can not understand, Life Lessons are placed along your Life Path for a purpose, to learn! Should you not Learn from these Lessons, they will repeat until the Lesson has been learned.

The saddest part of this Story, the parents will only receive sixteen to eighteen months of incarceration or even probation. I ask, is that justice?

Two deaths, two Children, their punishment does not equate to the crime. Crime, yes it truly is because of their irresponsible inactions.

Who knows what their lives may have been as these Children entered adulthood. To reach a time in their lives when they could make their own Choices, removed form the pressures and teachings of the parents.

How sad is a Society, where parents and teachers force concepts and perceptions upon the Child, and they are not allowed to Question and form their own concepts and perceptions. How sad is a Society that allow Humans, no these people should not be considered ‘human’, allow such a lite consequence for their actions.

How sad indeed!

I am but one voice crying out in this universe, yet this Society of the twenty first century remains silent to such injustices. I do believe ‘faith’ is an important aspect of the Human Condition yet then there are those that carry the concept to extremes, even unto Death.

Evangelism

Once again there are actions going on that take advantage of Human Beings in desperate need. This being the same actions taken against my Ancestors, in the name of God.

I will start by says, I know many people may have anger upon reading this blog. I do believe these will be the people who blindly follow a Concept or Perception forced upon them as Children. Not being allowed to form THEIR OWN Opinions, Perceptions or Concepts. I have never tried to force my Beliefs upon another Human Being, so why does the Arrogance of others think they have the Right to Force their Beliefs upon another, especially when they are in great need. After all, Religious Beliefs are nothing more than a thought, a Mental Concept.

This day I am shocked at a News headline, “After Quake, Evangelists find an Opportunity”. (Not the opportunity to fulfill their physical needs but to spread their Religious concepts) I am speaking of the Natural Phenomena, considered a disaster in Haiti. With quoits like, “Out of Tragedy, there is Opportunity”, “But Evangelism underlies the Mission of Mercy” or “They do not reject God, they just feel God is too far away”.

How sad this Society of the twenty first century.

The People of Haiti need help, like food, water and medical aid, not religious fanaticism. Yes people will come, not because they have a need for your Religious Teachings, because they are hungry, thirsty or in a need to end their suffering. Yet you put restrictions on your Giving. That is not my Culture Teachings. My Teachings, you give with a Good Heart and Spirit nothing Attached, no Obligations placed upon the recipient.

Many Stories from many Cultures of the Native American Peoples where deception and finding people in need were coerced into accepting a Religion that was filled with mistrust and incomprehensible to our way of Life. I do believe that the truth of these Religions do not Teach, untruths, deceptions and coercion of people in a disastrous situation. Yet these fanatical Religious people SING their own praise, yet at what cost to the Spirit and wellbeing of the people they claim to be so generous towards.

Stories from the past you will not fined in any history book:

A Clergyman set out to teach a Tribe, farming. He took potatoes and cut them into small pieces, some with the eye on the potato that allows a new plant to grow, some without. When he passed out the potato pieces to the people, the people who had converted to his Christian Teaching were given the pieces with the eyes. The pieces without eyes were given to the people who had not accepted his God. After a few weeks the potato plants started to grow but only the one with the eyes, the others rotted in the ground. When the people who were given the pieces without eyes asked, "why are our potatoes not growing", his response was, "because you do not believe in my God".

Another Tribe held very strongly to their Ancestral Teaching, rejecting the Teachings of the Clergyman. His response to the people was, ‘In three days my God will take a bite out of your Moon’. The Clergyman had prior knowledge of a lunar eclipse, thus causing fear among the people.

Deceptions, lies. Truly, are these the Religious Teachings of the Euro-Americans?

What has happened in Haiti is a Natural phenomenon; the Earth is a Living thing, ever changing, with events we as Human Being see as disasters. Yet we never learn. These Lessons have been placed before us in the past. We as Humans have no control over the devastation these Natural Happenings cause. Still we have the knowledge these things will continue when we construct our buildings we do not factor in these Natural Effects.

When will us Human Beings Learn we must live WITH Nature and build our lives with this in mind.

Yet we evolve, we take advantage of other peoples pain, forcing upon them a ‘Religious Concept’ in order for them to receive the help they need. Help without restrictions, without obligations should be the RIGHT thing to do, how sad this Human Race has become.

The concept in my Culture; ‘there should be no strings attached’! As I was taught, as a Child in my Cultural Teachings.

Wolves

How amazing this Twenty First Century, with this thing called “The Internet”, instant communication. For a person with a Thirteenth Century Mind Set, it is truly an amazing thing. Everyone has a “Mind Set”, this being your Teachings as a Child. Being honest with ones’ self, all of the things thought to you as a Child where you were not allowed to question, even within your Being you knew there had to other options, other concepts, they were forced upon you and linger throughout your life, causing a “Mind Set”. Yet adults tell you NO, IT IS THIS WAY, you are WRONG. How sad these Children of the Twentieth and Twenty First Centuries that are not allowed to question Concepts and Opinions of the adults that were given the Privilege and Honor to Educate the Child. When in Actually and Reality, Opinions and Concepts are neither right nor wrong, just one Individuals’ out look.

This you may be thinking, “What does that have to do with Wolves?” This, so as, to let the Reader know, I am not of a Mind Set of this Century, I was allowed to Question and form my own Opinions and Concepts as a Child, with guidance, not firm discipline as to Conceptual Rights and Wrongs.

It may be many of you read a thing on the Internet today called, “Save the ‘Twilight’ Wolves”. The thinking of the Society of today, here is a very important Fact of Nature, an important question, an important out-come, and yet the writer equates it to and interfaces it with Fiction.
The State of Washington is “debating”, should the Wolves that are returning to the Washington’s Olympic Peninsula be exterminated. In the 1800s an extensive Wolf extermination campaign eliminated the species in that area and many other areas in what is known today as The United States of America. Now after more than a hundred years the Wolves are slowly returning to this area. Have we as the Human Race not learned past Lessons? The pray Animals cause a Balance within Nature, keeping in check, the over population of other creatures that can be very destructive, due to greater numbers thus destroying their habitat. In turn also having an effect upon us Human Beings.

As a Boy in my Mountains of northern New York State, as it is known today, there were no Wolves. This being due to the fact the Euro-Americans had exterminated them prior to the Twentieth Century, out of Fear. As the Europeans moved into our Lands they brought with them the fantasies and fears of the Wolf with them. Their Stories of Werewolves, a fiction, wrought out of fear and fabrication of some kind of Mythical man eating Animal.

I will agree Wolves will attack and consume domesticated Animals, yet we as Human Beings have the intelligence to safeguard our domesticated Animals. This occurs when we over hunt and kill the Animals that are the Natural Pray of the Wolf, hunting no longer out of NEED, but for SPORT. We as Human Beings upon this Earth are liken to a virus, consuming all that Nature has placed here for all of its inhabitants. We as Human Being in this Twenty First Century and the prior Century consume our Natural resources, not out of NEED but out of WANT and GREED.

As I read the comments following this Internet posting I was pleased to read, out of the twenty one comments, eighteen were for allowing the Wolf to reenter its’ Natural Habitat. Two stated they should be “relocated”. How sad for them. When Governments come across something that they perceive as an Obstacle or Fears, just relocate them, as they did with the Original Peoples of this Land. How sad that the Peoples of this Country have Learned nothing in the past six hundred years. One comment suggested allowing the Wolves but eliminate the Bear. Damn!

I am sure the majority of the People reading this article on the Internet will be distracted from the Real Issue, the Wolves, and focus on the advertisement for a fictional Movie called “New Moon”. This may be an interesting exciting movie, yet it is fictional, for entertainment, or will it allow the Old Fears be brought forward and the Wolves be eliminated due to the old Fears?

We as Human Beings no longer see ourselves as “a Part of Nature”, we see ourselves “as above it”, “superior”, when in Actuality, how can Man Survive without looking out for all of the entities of this Earth? Honor their existence, bring this Earth back to its’ Natural Self with all of its’ Beings intact.

Wolves, a necessity for the survival of all Beings. Think about it!

A New Decade

As we enter into a new decade, 2010, a time for reflection. While in today’s Society we measure our Life circumstance in ten year segments, called a Decade. In my Culture, Life circumstance is measured in seven year Cycles.

Cycles: First cycle, Birth to seven years (baby to child), second cycle, seven to fourteen (child through puberty), third cycle, fourteen to twenty one (young man). Forth cycle, after twenty one you are considered a Man, not only physically and mentally, but also legally, by the laws of toady’s Society. As these seven year cycles progress, Maturity.

Yet, I have encountered, because we are all “Individuals” and “Life Lessons Learned”, fourteen and fifteen year olds have shown more Maturity than a man in his 30’s or 40’s. Age is but a “number” not a measure of Maturity.

As we all look back on this past Decade, the changes in ones’ Life. Some good some bad, all depending upon your Individual interpretation. Life changing situations, life changing encounters, there effects on ones’ Life, all placed there for “Purpose”. When one looks back and look beyond the “effect”, never question the effect, always question the cause. Always hold close to you, YOU ALLOW these changes, these encounters and situations to happen in your Life. Choice, a birth gift to all Human Beings, Choice is the cause, not the effect. We all have made bad choices along our Life Path, learn from them and become a better person because of it. Your Choices are placed along your Life Path to gift to you Life Lessons. Whether your Choices have a Positive or Negative effect, the Lesson is always there, learn from it, never looking back with “what ifs”, move on.

The birth of a new Decade, new beginnings, will you allow this new time span to improve your Life or allow the encounters and situations of the past Decade hold you, or allow yourself to move on with new visions of your Life experience? The Choice is always your!
I can only look back on my own Life experiences for the past Decade and yet know similarities of other Humans exist. The loss of a Friend due to misunderstandings, misinterpretations and the lack of communicating due to their anger and the interference by outsiders, a sad state. And yet, out of this unfortunate situation I found another friend. I do not say one friend held a lesser emotional connection than the other. I hold all friends close, a Cultural Concept, “everything is given and yet nothing is required”, Friendship. There is also another Cultural Concept, “acceptance”. This concept in today’s Culture seems to be the hardest for this Society to comprehend.

The Turmoil in another’s Life may also have an effect on your well-being.
A Friend or a Family member, moving on to the World of Spirit effects all they have encountered along their Life Path. Once again, the effect is all in individual interpretation of death to the Physical Self and Religious Teachings. In my Culture, Death is not an end; it is a new beginning, considered to be the Greatest Human Adventure.

I have found as the Decades of my life pass, not much changes in the Human Condition. The first decade of my life the World was at War, and for every Decade it has continued, as I now enter my eighth Decade, War is still prevalent in our Society. As I see it, Life Lessons, that have not been learned. Until we Human Being Learn from the Lessons placed along our Life Path, they will persist.

This present War, Religious factors, its’ basis. Religion, what as devastating concept when we Humans lack true understanding. The European Cultures adopted a Middle Eastern Religious Concept. Then changing the principle Person from a dark skinned, dark haired, dark eyed Human Being into a light skinned, blond haired, blue eyed person to fit into their Culture. A fact of Nature, People from the Middle-East ARE a dark skinned Race of Man, not a light skinned European. Yet we do War because of differences, when differences IS what makes us a beautiful entity on this Earth. Underlying factors of THIS War, oil and greed. How sad we as Human Beings measure our time, our Decades by War, World War I, World War II, the Korean Conflict, Vietnam, Desert Storm and now the Iraq and the Afghan Wars. This thing we call “War”, being the most inhumane action one Human Being can inflict upon another Human Being.
Decades pass, Life Lessons are placed before us as a People upon this Earth and we never seem to Learn.

A Decade, for some, amazing changes. At the beginning of this Decade if you were eleven years old, at the end you would be twenty one years. At its’ beginning, a Child on the brink of Puberty, the most amazing transformation we as Human Being go through. Into your “teen” years, exploring “who you are”, fighting the established Society with all of it’s imperfections. Now at the end of the Decade, you are twenty one, a man, not only physically but according to today’s Societies Laws. What a fantastic and amazing metamorphosis due to only ten years in your Life Cycle, a Decade.

Within a Decade, old Friends move on, new Friends enter ones’ Life, Friendships evolve as with all things within this Universe. Loves come and go, changing, evolving, happiness and pain, another fact of the Human Condition, choice, acceptance, or hold on to the past which can have a devastating effect upon your well-being.

A new Decade, may all your hopes, dreams, expectations and prayers come to be. Let all of the unfavorable or unfortunate Life Encounters blow into the Winds. Look forward with Love in your Heart, optimism and expectations with all of your Being.

Start your new Decade with no “what ifs?”
